Getting website visitors to your website is one part of the puzzle but when they get there does your website have what it takes to keep them there? Is your websites message clear enough that visitors can find what they need easily and convert from a visitor to a lead or customer without confusion?

How do you know if your website converts well? A very simple way is to have a friend go to your website and ask him or her what they think, whats the message they get? Do they instantly know what you are selling and how to get it, do they know how to pay and how quickly you can deliver? If they answer yes, then you are ready for real world testing and should install a program called Google Analytics.
This program will show you exactly what visitors are doing when they come to your website and how they get there, including what keywords they searched for.
You can also set up Goals and Funnel pages. For example if you sell a product and the check out process is 3 pages long, Page A, Page B, Page C. You can track a visitors check out proccess, so if they leave on Page B, and you notice a trend of visitors leaving on Page B then you know that somehting about the content of Page B is causing this. Setting up goals and funnel pages will allow you to fine tune your sites conversion rates
